The Whale Hunt

thewhalehunt1.jpg

The Whale Hunt is Jonathan Harris’s newest interactive project that focuses on the traditional Eskimo whale hunt. His 9 day stay in Barrow, Alaska with an Inupiat Eskimo family documents the entire event from start to finish. Each photo taken was a reflection of his heartbeat. If he was excited the frequency of photo-taking grew and less photos were taken when he was calmer. Spend some time with this interesting piece of storytelling.

Pentagram: a short film

pentagram.jpg

This is Hillman Curtis‘ short film about a legendary design outlet called Pentagram. It’s a well done piece overall and an interesting look into a company that has made unique ideas and stories the basis for all of their design. It’s worth taking a look at other of Hillman Curtis’ short films, both fiction and nonfiction interviews.
