The subject matter of the films range from the humorous, to the haunting and also a unique piece of science fiction. D&AD Student Pencil Winners Camila Carlow and Krzysztof Bierski have created a stop-motion animation based on an interview with Stefan Sagmeister. It recounts the time he created his infamous AIGA Detroit poster. Quite a tale!

Trevor Cawood’s haunting short film, Terminus about a man drove to insanity by his relationship with his sculptural partner.

The Whale Hunt is Jonathan Harris’s newest interactive project that focuses on the traditional Eskimo whale hunt. His 9 day stay in Barrow, Alaska with an Inupiat Eskimo family documents the entire event from start to finish. Each photo taken was a reflection of his heartbeat. If he was excited the frequency of photo-taking grew and less photos were taken when he was calmer. Spend some time with this interesting piece of storytelling.

Designer and illustrator, Geoff McFetridge adds his hand to this New York Times animated piece titled Drawing From Resources on alternative energy. The style harkens back to the work of animator George Dunning’s work on The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine. Simple and playful animation with thoughtful transitions throughout.

Better than the A/List, the M/List is where Move30 gets a chance to jump into bed with creative people who are working on some great projects or who can provide some perspective on the crazy world of storytelling. Short interviews with M30 members and the occasional industry person. This section will be expanded on in the coming months.

On The Road Media created this powerful multimedia piece, Legacy of Horror, published on Newsweek.com. Photographer Justin Mott documented lives of Vietnamese orphans alleged to be third-generation victims of Agent Orange.
